Hoodies and toques will be available for order. Cash/cheques (made payable to “Biomedical Physiology & Kinesiology Student Association”) and order forms will be collected at the following times:
Tues Oct 25th from 9:00am – 12:00pm and Wed Oct 26th from 1:00pm -3:00pm at an AQ Table outside the main lecture halls (C9001, B9200)
Thurs Oct 27th from 9:00am – 11:00am outside of the BPK Co-op Office (K9620).
Sample sizes will be available to try on. Old stock from previous orders will also be sold at discounted prices, however colours, designs and sizes are limited.

We will be selling BPK gear from past clothing sales. There are limited designs, colours and sizes so be sure to get to the table ASAP! Prices range from $10 – $30 and we will only be accepting cash or cheques.

BPK Kickoff will open your eyes to some of the many great opportunities available to BPK students! Stop by if you are interested in learning more about SFU Recreation, SFU Physio, BPK labs or if you’d like to make some new friends!
After registration, we will make our way to the BPK courtyard together and have some food at the Welcome Back BBQ. Food is by donation (two toonies for Terry Fox!). There will also be a bingo game here which will get you familiar with some of the professors in BPK and the winner will get a prize!
After that we will play some icebreaker games so that you can meet some of your fellow students and friends that you will be spending the next 4-5 years of your life with! Next we will move on to the the tours.

BPK 101 is being held on Friday September 9th and is open to all first year and transfer BPK students! This is a great way get yourself oriented with the Burnaby Mountain campus, learn about some of the career options available to you, make some friends, get free BPK swag, and more!
The two speakers are:
Brent Flodin (Teaching Assistant) – Brent has lots of great tips to share with you about BPK and will be a great resource in your first year.
Diana Bedoya (Lecturer) – Diana teaches classes such as BPK 140, 110, and 326. Diana has a passion for health and wellness and hopes that you will too.

We are now recruiting new mentors for the upcoming year (Fall 2016-Spring 2017), this is a perfect opportunity for you if you’d like to help a first year, take them under your wing, and share your experiences about how awesome SFU BPK really is.
A BPK Peer Mentor is a third of fourth year who is super awesome and looking to help ensure that the transition from high school to university is as smooth as possible for a new student.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please click here to learn more about your responsibilities and what you need to do to sign up. The deadline for registration is May 30th, 2016. So please try get your applications in before then.

The Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology Student Association (BPKSA) and BPK Co-op are pleased to invite you to the annual Careers in BPK Event on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. The event will take place at SFU Burnaby Campus, Saywell Hall Atrium from 4:30-8:00 p.m. The cost of admission is $2.00 at the door and will include:
Pre-event lab tours for BPK student only, from 3:30-4:20 (there is a separate registration link for the lab tours, please see below for details)
Employer Exhibits / Exhibitor Fair from 4:30 – 6:45 p.m.

If you want advice on future career plans, bring your resume and questions to the Exhibitor Fair as Career Services will be available to provide resume feedback. Some exhibitors will be accepting applications.

As you may already know, the BPK Peer Mentorship program is a great way to start out your undergrad career at SFU. You will be paired up with a senior BPK student who is knowledgeable about BPK and SFU in general. Your mentor will act as your social, community, and academic guide for your first year at SFU.
