Opening:
The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 11:35am by Crystal in the BPK Conference Room.
In Attendance:

Open Issues:
1) SFU Snapchat Takeover
-August 15th
-5 snaps about why you like being in BPK throughout the day
-Sonya will ask Erin if there is an alternate date because August 15th is during final exams
2) Social Event
-Sonya created a survey, sent to undergrads
-It seems that only approved BPK majors received the survey
-Will send it out again next week
-Friday September 15th (afternoon)
-So far hiking has gotten a lot of votes
-Will ask BNSS to collaborate after we get results from the survey
3) BPK 101
-Brent, Darleen, Diana (early as possible) are available to speak
-Sophie and Richard will speak about course planning
-BPK Seminar room booked from 12:30-6pm
-We will use BPK Seminar room if BPK 142 lab is not available
-Check with Van about BPK department things we can use in the swag bags
-Post it notes
-Water bottles
-Pencils
-Buttons
-Sonya is in the process of editing the information booklets
4) Welcome BBQ Kickoff
-Tuesday Sept 19th
-Ryan Dill interested in speaking
-5-7 minutes
-Have not heard back from labs for tours yet
5) Website
-Added BPK 101 page
-Changed format for viewing website on phone, now easier to navigate
6) Fall Meeting Time
-Doodle poll will be sent out soon
-Election for all positions will be held in September
7) Test Scavenger Hunt
-11:55am to 12:30pm
