Monday, February 3, 2014
Opening
The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 12:30pm on Monday, January 20, 2014 in SWH 10051 by Steven.
In attendance
- Steven M., Alex, Barham, Ran, Debbie, Jake, Mohammed, Shaila, Loryn, Navo, Valentine, Garveen, Sidney, Joanne, Erina, Bryan, Joyce
Open Issues
- Kin Cup
- Many faculty members cannot make February 21 so we are looking to postpone it for February 28
- Sidney will talk to SFU REC to see if we can switch our gym booking to February 28
- Steven will talk to Education people to see if we can use the Education gym
- Year End Party
- Loryn has not heard back yet from Club Ilya
- Sydney will hand over the contact information from last year`s Club Ilya event to Loryn
- White Caps Collaboration
- The Whitecaps FC are looking to do an event in collaboration with the BPK faculty
- Have a presentation by Chris Franks (head physio for whitecaps) & the team`s trainers
- The event would either get us out to UBC and check out their locker room or go to BC place for a game
- We would get discounted tickets on Saturday, March 29 – $20 tickets
- It`ll be a smaller event since this is our first time collaborating with them ( estimated 40-60 students)
- Schedule would look like: Pre-game, then presentation, eat, then watch game
- Clothing
- We want to sell the rest of our clothing
- Next meeting we will count inventory of clothing
- We can sell it at Kin Cup
- Kinesiotaping weekend course
- $500/person
- BPKSA members were not interested in the course
