Opening
The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 1:30pm on Friday, January 18, 2013 in the BPK Seminar Room by Steven.

Open Issues
- Career Event
- Rooms, food, speakers, exhibitors are all booked
- Granting committee doesn’t meet until day before the event – we will apply for $1200 grant
- Approved for $500 grant from the department
- Dropped off grant on Dec. 5th and Claire Cupples (Dean of Science Secretary) never got it; Sidney will follow up
- Schedule:
3:30-4:45 Lab Tours – Debbie and Joyce helping with facilitating tours
4:00-5:30 Sign in table ($2 fee & name tags)
5:00-8:30 Glen will give speech & exhibitors
5:30-6:10 Breakout Session #3 – volunteers guide people to room and give introduction of speaker & help out with questions
6:10-6:50 Food, Exhibitors
6:55-7:35 Breakout Session #2
7:35-8:00 Dessert & draw Prizes - Careers 1st breakout sessions – Kinesiology, OT, Med
Careers 2st breakout sessions – Physiotherapy, Naturopathy
- Geek Week
- We have a table booked on Wed Jan 23rd 10:30-3:00
- Activities confirmed: star trace, Tony’s angular momentum wheel
- Sydney will follow up with prof on Monday for the jump platform
- Steven will ask Dan Marigold about prism goggles
- Research Day (Tues. Jan. 22) 1:45-4:45 in ASB – table set up to engage students & advertise Kin Cup
- Kin Cup
- Friday, February 22, 2013 at 5:50-8:30
- Basketball, Dodge ball, Soccer
- Clothing Order
- 3 companies able to print on materials other than cotton and other than t-shirts
- We will do a complete order of the heart shirts
- Popular items when asked people at clubs days: zip-up hoodie and sweatpants
- Need to figure out designs:
Heart for shirt
Vitruvian man & EKG for sweater
EKG on sweats down the leg - Maybe get a brain design the same way the heart design was made
- Possibly adding “Simon Fraser University” on the back
