Monday, July 16, 2012
Opening
- The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 12:33pm on Monday, July 16, 2012 in AQ 5038 by Brent.
In attendance
- Brent, Shaila, Kirsten, Alex, Amanda, Jason, Steven, Sydney
Approval of Agenda
- The agenda was unanimously approved as distributed.
Approval of Minutes
- The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as distributed.
Open Issues
- Updates from Joyce, our forum rep
- SFSS putting in money for a “welcome back” concert in the fall
- There is a possible TA strike in the fall
- Joyce will e-mail the execs updates
- Clothing Sale
- People’s input from facebook group: hoodies, crew neck sweatshirts, t-shirts, sweatpants
- As a group, we will make a decision of which items will make best sales
- Use similar imagery from last year, and incorporate old designs from previous years as well
- Possibly add a “kin” phrase on the back
- Deciding: elastic ankle sweat pants, zip-up hoodies (American apparel style) and crew neck sweatshirts, t-shirts
- Look into shorts – girls and guys
- Look into long sleeves shirts – possible synthetic to be worn in the winter running
- Look into toques
- Possible do a split order: warmer items sold in fall and things like shorts and t-shirts in the spring
- Chief Hike
- Rescheduled to either Saturday, July 21st or Sunday, July 22nd – will be determined by facebook poll
- Money will be given for gas from carpools and snacks
- Free stuff to give in the Fall
- $250 for 500 pens
- Stress balls
- Week of Welcome booth table
- Sept 4 – 7
- Interactive activity: things from kin 142 labs like torso model assembly race, star trace, grip strength, vertical jump test
- Our activity request must be submitted by August 2nd
