Opening:
The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 12:40 pm by Crystal in the BPK Conference Room. Minimum quorum of 4 executive members reached.

Open Issues:
1) Approval of Previous Minutes
- Riley motioned to approve the meeting minutes of 2018-06-25. Nicole seconded. Minutes approved unanimously
2) Crystal Falls Hike Recap
- went well but could have had a much larger turnout if it was sunny
- had a lot of positive feedback about the trail, people liked the location and that it was an easy hike
- went to a burger place afterwards and watched the end of the Croatia vs Russia game
3) World Cup Semi-Final Viewings in BPK Student Lounge
- Tuesday July 10that 11am France vs Belgium
- Wednesday July 11at 11am Croatia vs England
4) BPK Undergrad Microwave
- the department is open to getting a microwave for the undergrads but their concern is that it won’t stay clean. They suggested that the BPKSA clean the microwave regularly
- possibly leave out wipes for people to clean up after themselves if they use it, have BPKSA members check on the microwave weekly to make sure it’s getting cleaned
- make a note reminding people to clean up after themselves
5) BPKSA Retreat
- camping at Lac Le Jeune Provincial Park July 27-29th
- will send out a google doc of who can come and details for transportation and supplies
6) BPK 101
- last meeting we talked about having it on Friday September 7th
- We’ll need to figure out course schedules for the fall first, so we can find out what day works for most people and who can make the event.
- have contacted BPK Peer Mentorship and they’re interested in discussing September events. We’ll coordinate through email the next few weeks and on July 30thAmanda and Matt are planning to come to the BPKSA meeting
7) #XOSFU BPK Event
- thinking about having coffee in the BPK Student Lounge sometime in September
- $19 for 12 small cups and $99 for 70 small cups from Tim Hortons
- maybe some boxes of cookies or tea as well
- Wednesday September 4th (tentatively)
8) #XOSFU Card Decoration
– during the meetings we’ll decorate cards over the next several weeks
Motions:
Crystal motioned to reimburse Alam $4.18 and $7.38 for ice and freezies from Summer Kin Cup event from Grant #910. Ningning seconded it. Motion passed unanimously.
