Opening
The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 12:33pm on Friday, June 28, 2013 in AQ 5004 by Steven.
In attendance
- Steven, Megan, Matt, Debbie, Dora, Jason
Open Issues
- BPK Orientation
- since the Terry Fox run has been moved to Sept 24th there is some talk about moving the Welcome Back BBQ (this is the BBQ we planned to attend on the second day of orientation)
- this would allow more time for lab tours
- we could provide a pizza lunch instead
- the one problem is whether or not the profs will be available to either attend the lunch or be in their offices so the clans of students can stop by and meet them
- during the tour on the first day we could encourage the students to pay attention by having a game during the info session where the clans compete against each other by answering questions on the information they learned during the tour
- still need to confirm which labs are a part of the tour (Max Donelan has confirmed, Steven will talk to Dan and Joyce will talk to the Molecular Cardiac Group)
