Opening:
The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 11:30am by Megan in the BPK Graduate Student Lounge.
In Attendance:

Open Issues:
AQ table debrief – The tables went very well, and due to overwhelming engagement, we are now low on clothing supplies especially hoodies. An arrangement will be made to order more Hoodies
A Photographer coming to take pictures for our BPK club advertisements and promotion! – A Doodle poll will be posted for people to vote for a time and date that works best. Please fill out this doodle poll.
Careers in BPK event (Tuesday Jan 17) – Please attend
-MD and PT speakers will be arranged
Grads in UBC Med – Joyce, Ian, josh, Mannan, Michael
Grads PT -Michelle, Tylor, Kevin
Practicing PT – Sana
Grads In Strength and Conditioning – John Abreu
Current student working in strength and conditioning – Preston
Suggested BCIT session – cardiac perfusionist, ultrasound (Madison), Nursing
Need to Decide:
Possible 4th speaker – naturopath, dietitian, nutritionist, researcher
We can brainstorm 2 more fields that we would like to see represented

Kin Week (3rd week of November)
We have $500 grant
Speaker is coming Monday – some money will go for food after show ($150)
How to use the leftover $350?
Event Idea – Thursday Nov 17, a festival full of kin completions for prizes!
The event will use BPK equipment and other items to make fun games: tilt table, grip strength dynamometer, rowing machine, wii with wii sports, star trace machine, arcade cabinets, foosball table, Ping-Pong table, kick boxing dummy. Any other Ideas for fun Items to possibly include?
There will be a Masters of PT information session being held by Sheila Williamson (Admission Department), giving details on the admission process. – Wed Oct 12
Planning a Fall social – Behavioral neuroscience group wants to join together to create a joint social. Suggestions include bouldering at the Hive, probably Friday Nov 4th.
A request for the BPKSA to reinforce our group culture by hosting some more simple fun get-together events. Brian may try to plan a music bingo night. Please feel free to contribute, as any group member is able to suggest ideas and help make some small social events happen!
Start thinking about planning a year end BPK 101 students’ celebration event.
