The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 11:30pm by Crystal in the BPK Conference Room. Minimum quorum of 4 executive members reached.

2) Clubs Days
- Tues Sept 11 Table 77 & Wed Sept 12th Table 106 in Convo Mall
- focus on advertising BPK 101
- recruit new members for the BPKSA, and collect emails for mailing list
- sell leftover clothing, will have a sheet with the clothing prices
- Focus on advertising the future events for September

- students are going to meet outside the BPK Main Office (K9625) and then we’ll bring them to the anatomy lab for the event

- Use this to advertise the event to more people
- Katie already shared it in the BPK 2018 group, possibly get more people to share it in the group to help with advertising

4) Science Frosh
- Sept 15-16th
- Sophia from SUS has asked us to help promote the event. She’ll be coming to BPK 101 to let the incoming students know about the event
- Registration for event is online
5) Welcome BBQ Kickoff
- Tues Sept 18th from 10:30am-2pm. See if we can get some volunteers to help with the event
- Free to attend
- $4 donation to Terry Fox Foundation for the lunch. There’ll be a registration link for the event as a head count for food
- Approximate Schedule
10:30am-11:30am – Students will meet outside the BPK Main Office K9625 and we’ll walk them over to the Cardiac Lab for a tour
11:30am-11:45am – walk over to SFU Fitness Centre
11:45am-12:15pm – Tour of SFU Rec and Physio, discuss possible opportunities in the rec center
12:15pm-12:30pm – Walk to the BPK Courtyard
12:30pm-2pm – BBQ
6) Terry Fox Run (or walk)
- Friday Sept 28th at 12:30pm
- register for Team BPK at the BBQ or online link (to be provided later)
- Maybe advertise that there’s free food afterward too
7) Careers in BPK
- Wed Jan 23rd, 2019
- ASB booking has been sent into the SFSS
- Well need to start figuring out who we want to come to the event for the booths and as speakers
8) Concussion Legacy Foundation
- get skype/online training about concussions and reach out to the community to do a presentation
- possibly start it on campus as a club
- could start as a core group to start training members and people who are interested
Motions:
Jaskarn motioned to use $80 from Fall semester core to print 40 pamphlets for the BPK 101 event. Riley seconded it. Motion was passed unanimously.
