The meeting of the BPKSA was called to order at 11:40pm by Crystal in the BPK Conference Room. Minimum quorum of 4 executive members reached.

Open Issues:
1) Approval of Previous Minutes
- Jaskarn motioned to approve the meeting minutes of 2018-09-24. Nicole seconded. Minutes approved unanimously
2) Elections
- Elections were held for all open exec position. All nominations for exec members were passed unanimously.
3) Terry Fox Run
- this Friday, Sept 28th in Convo Mall at 12:30pm
- if we want to either sign up for the event with the BPK department team or help out with the event, feel free to do so
4) October Social
- Wings Coquitlam at 5:30pm, on Friday Oct 19th
- Will put in a grant for the event
- Will need to put up posters and post on social media for advertising. Also need to email the profs to advertise the event
- Will need to do this ASAP
5) Concussion Legacy Foundation
- has emailed us asking for an update on how things are going
- BNS said that they might be interested at some point
- They want a list of people who are interested in presenting into the communities, so that they can properly train the presenters
- Not sure if there’s enough people to make a dedicated club like the other school out in Eastern Canada
- There are people interested in the program, so we might consider it at a later date
6) Science DSU Meeting
- this Wednesday, Sept 26th from 10:30am-12pm in TASC 2 9705
- discuss science faculty events and issues around the science department
7) Fall Clothing Sale
- mountain and regular ECG designs on hoodies and crewnecks
- possibly include toques and windbreakers
- only doing men’s dry fit – it’ll be unisex
- possibly first or second week of October to place orders
- Mon Oct 1st – 10:30-1:30, Katie and Riley
- Tuesday Oct 2 – 10:30-1:30, Emily B and Emily P
- Wednesday Oct 3 – 10:30 – 1:30, Katie, Jaskarn, Riley, Ben, Nicole
- Clothing price sheet:
- They can either buy clothes on the spot or try and get them to pay when they order
- If they can’t pay when they order, they can drop it off in the BPKSA box by the office

8) SFU & SFSS Concerns
- Alam has asked everyone to send in any concerns about SFU and SFSS, the issues can sent in from the BPKSA or as individuals

- communication of changes between SFSS and clubs
- The SFSS will be having a conversation about the difficulties student groups face and their ultimate goal is to create a formal letter addressing these concerns and action items moving forward
9) Careers in BPK
- Wednesday January 23rd (tentatively)
- Can’t book it until Nov 3rd and we’re limited for space booking
- what careers do we want as speakers?

- Ergonomics
- Pedorthis/ orthotics – Kintec
- Dietician, etc…
- Some people have expressed interest in presenting
