Who We Are
This is the BPK Student Association (BPKSA). We are a group of undergraduate students in the department of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. Taking any BPK course at any point of your undergraduate career makes you a member of our student association. By attending our weekly meetings, you have the chance to become an executive member!
Our goal is to create pride in being a BPK student. We strive to establish networks, friendships and other social and academic groups that are easily accessible to any undergrad student that enrolls in a BPK course.
Each semester, some of your student fees are directed to the Simon Fraser Student Society (SFSS). A portion of those funds are they distributed to clubs and departmental student unions (DSUs), such as the BPKSA.
With this, the BPKSA is able to fund a multitude of events including:
- BPK Career Night
- The annual “Kin Cup”
- BPK 101 and mentors program
- Exciting social/networking events
- BPK Apparel Sales
These events and organizations aim to connect BPK students of all university years with their fellow classmates and peers, as well as staff members.
As per constitution, membership with the is as follows:
Membership in this union shall be extended to, as defined by official academic status:
